Montana Insurance Information

Montana is one of the biggest states in the Union at over one-hundred-forty-seven-thousand square miles; though its population of less than one-million makes it one of the most sparsely populated. The state gets its name from the Spanish word for mountain which is fitting given that the Rocky Mountain range runs through the Western half of the state. The largest county in the state is Yellowstone, which is the site of the nation’s leading National park. In addition, Glacier National Park is also located in wonderful Montana. With more than twenty-five glaciers and two-hundred lakes this park is magnificent for fishing, hiking and general good times. As with other States in the nation, Montana takes steps to make sure that its resident drivers are safe by requiring that all vehicle operators carry minimum auto insurance:

  • Bodily injury per person: $25,000
  • Bodily injury for all persons: $50,000
  • Property damage coverage: $10,000
