New Hampshire Insurance Information

Only you can determine the right level of insurance coverage to meet your needs, however as with most states, New Hampshire has legislated minimum auto insurance requirements in order to provide basic protection for its residents. While New Hampshire does not actually require that you have an insurance policy, it does require that you demonstrate that you have liquid assets that meet the minimum insurance requirements, which could be used in the event of an accident to pay for damages. For some (for example, single drivers who don’t drive often), the minimum car insurance coverage levels suffice; for others (such as a family or high-worth individuals) they do not. Cheap car insurance is available for all, but does require you to review multiple auto insurance quotes. New Hampshire’s minimum legal requirements are:

  • Bodily injury per person: $25,000
  • Bodily injury for all persons: $50,000
  • Property damage coverage: $25,000
