Oklahoma is known as the Sooner State by its more than 3.5 million residents; Oklahomans or “Okies” as some call themselves. Long a home to energy related activities, like oil and gas production, as well as a strong agricultural background, Oklahoma has recently seen a boon in economic development. Both per capita income and domestic production are increasing rapidly, and along with it, the State’s population, cultural activities and other attractions. The affluence has brought with it an increased focus on infrastructure, including public roadways. To protect these roadways, the State legislature has enacted laws to require minimum auto insurance:
