Wisconsin Insurance Information

Operating a vehicle on public roadways means that you need to maintain an auto insurance policy that meets Wisconsin’s minimum requirements. Wisconsin’s requirements are not recommendations and should not be considered such. You will need to review your specific facts and circumstances to determine whether you need additional car insurance. Once you’ve decided on auto insurance coverage levels, services that help you compare car insurance quotes can assist you in finding a low cost car insurance policy. Be sure that the policy meets Wisconsin’s laws:

For policies issued prior to November 1, 2011

  • Bodily injury per person: $50,000
  • Bodily injury for all persons: $100,000
  • Property damage coverage: $15,000
  • Uninsured and underinsured motorist: $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident
